Web Applications Development
MODx CMS
After trying many different web content management systems/frameworks, I stumbled upon MODx. What was immediately appealing to me was the simplicity of use, and the fact that (with 'Revolution') a fresh install is almost completely naked of example content or bells and whistles. Being a bit of a control freak, and often needing to build lots of custom code for my web sites, this suits me perfectly.
I am making no attempt to create another MODx documentation or tutorial site. That need has already been catered for elsewhere. eg.
- The official MODx Revolution documentation site
- Susan Ottwell's excellent MODx tutorial and demo site. Be sure to check out the "MODx From the Inside" section
- Bob's Guides
The memos below are being written as I convert an existing MODx Evolution site to 'Revolution', solve various riddles on the differences between the two systems, and generally expand my understanding of MODx.
